CHRISTCHURCH, NZ., 19 August, 2016 – ARANZ Medical has won an Exporter of the Year award at the 2016 AmCham-DHL Express Success and Innovation Awards, held in conjunction with Hawaiian Airlines, the 17th year of these awards celebrating success and innovation for companies doing business with the USA. The company was named Exporter of the Year to the USA in the $1 million to $10 million category at an awards ceremony in Auckland last night.
ARANZ Medical specialises in 3D scanning and informatics solutions for the healthcare sector that transform clinical assessment processes, improve quality of care, and make service delivery more cost-effective.
Dr Bruce Davey, CEO of ARANZ Medical says, “We’ve been extremely focussed on achieving success in the US market, as it’s such an important healthcare market worldwide. It’s a great achievement for our team to have The American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand recognise our commitment to innovation and growth in the US.”
ARANZ Medical’s solutions for skin and wound assessment transform clinical assessment processes, improve quality of care, and make healthcare more cost-effective. Key innovations include: Silhouette, an FDA-approved advanced wound surveillance system which supports precise and productive wound management in clinical practice and research; and FastSCAN which enables the custom-fit of orthotics and prosthetics.
ARANZ Medical has a sizeable and established sales and support team located across the United States to support demand for their innovation. Clients in the United States include some of the largest healthcare providers in the country.
Dr Davey says, “Leading health providers in the US, and around the world, are looking for innovative solutions to improve the quality of care for patients in wound care, while at the same time creating efficiencies as health budgets are under pressure.
“Silhouette offers an evidence-based response to the increasing prevalence of wounds associated with chronic illnesses like diabetes, and an ageing population, and FastSCAN is the most easy to use and accurate digital solution for 3D scanning stumps to enable the precise fitting of prosthetics and orthotics.”
Dr Davey says a growing emphasis on accountable healthcare and trends such as telehealth are also stimulating demand for their technology, now in use in over 35 countries.
