CHRISTCHURCH, NZ, 14 November 2016 – Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado has chosen the ARANZ Medical Silhouette® product suite to provide greater accuracy in their wound measurements as well as better documentation of their patients’ wound healing.
Mr Steve Shirley, CIO Parkview Medical Center says, “Our small wound care team will be using 18 SilhouetteStar cameras and the Silhouette wound assessment system initially across all departments in the Medical Center, with the expectation of further expansion to the managed clinics in the Southern Colorado area. The solution will help us to get accurate and consistent wound images and measurements across all of the sites, enabling us to better monitor our patients’ healing progress and improve the quality of care we provide.”
“The integration of Silhouette with our electronic health records system reduces the potential for errors in our data handling, which was also a key driver for us to implement the solution”, says Steve Shirley.
Parkview started installing the Silhouette system in May 2016 and after testing they began using the new solution in August 2016. Steve Shirley says “The rollout has been seamless with excellent communication and support provided by the ARANZ Medical services team whenever we have needed it.”
Silhouette is an FDA-approved electronic wound assessment system that enables caregivers to capture digital wound images, 3D measurements, synchronize the data with a central database through a secure internet connection, and incorporate these records in the electronic records system. Experts can review the wound assessment and collaborate on care from a web browser. The Silhouette solution enables patients to see and become involved in their wound healing progress, and it often motivates them to make choices that enhance their healing.
