CHRISTCHURCH, NZ, 20 October, 2016 – ARANZ Medical, a specialist in 3D scanning and informatics solutions for the healthcare sector, was named in the Ten Hot Emerging Companies: Next100 list at the launch of the 2016 TIN100 Report in Auckland last night.
The TIN100 Report monitors the performance of New Zealand’s 200 (TIN100 and Next100) largest technology exporters in ICT, High-tech Manufacturing and Biotechnology.
Dr Bruce Davey, CEO of ARANZ Medical says, “We’re delighted to be recognised for our revenue growth over the past year, and to have the opportunity to benchmark ourselves against New Zealand’s top globally focussed tech companies.”
ARANZ Medical’s 3D scanning and information solutions for skin and wound assessment transform clinical assessment processes, improve quality of care, and make healthcare more cost-effective. Key innovations include: Silhouette, an FDA-approved advanced wound surveillance system which supports precise and productive wound management in clinical practice and research; and FastSCAN which enables the custom-fit of orthotics and prosthetics.
Dr Davey says, “We’ve created niche markets by replacing some of the most primitive processes in healthcare with innovative technology. And we’re seeing growing demand for both Silhouette and FastSCAN due to increases in diseases like diabetes, an ageing population, more accountable healthcare and the emerging telehealth trend.’’
Over 450 tech exporters were surveyed for the 2016 TIN100 Report produced by Technology Investment Network (TIN). The top 200 companies increased revenue by 12 per cent over the past year to reach combined revenues of $9.4 billion, according to the 2016 TIN100 Report. Healthcare was also named as the largest secondary technology sector.
